FOUNDER

Alec is a founder of Atlas Real Estate Capital, a boutique commercial real estate debt & equity originations firm based out of Sarasota, FL. Alec has been involved with more than $3 Billion in originations over the last 5 years and has closed both debt & equity transactions across most major asset classes including multifamily, retail, office, industrial, self-storage, MHC, and hospitality. Prior to starting Atlas Real Estate Capital, Alec originated debt & equity while employed at Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation and Pinnacle Financial Group. Alec is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and attended the University of Kentucky where he studied Business Management and Marketing. After completing his undergraduate studies, Alec completed the Specialized Master of Finance program at The Ohio State University, where he studied Real Estate and Corporate Finance, and was elected by his peers as the class commencement speaker.

Tyler is a partner of Atlas Real Estate Capital, a boutique commercial real estate debt & equity originations firm based out of Sarasota, FL. Tyler has been involved with more than $1 Billion in originations over the last 7 years and has closed both debt and equity transactions across most major asset classes including multifamily, self storage, mobile home communities, retail, office, industrial and hospitality assets. Prior to joining Atlas Real Estate Capital, Tyler was a Senior Vice President at Marcus and Millichap Capital Corporation out of Cleveland, Ohio where he also originated debt and equity for clients across the country. Tyler graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University where he studied Economics, and was a four year letter winner in golf. In his free time, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie. Together they enjoy golf, tennis, or any sport on the water.

Alex Schnese joined Atlas Real Estate Capital in July of 2021, and is currently one of the teams Senior Associates. Alex specializes in underwriting / valuation of Self-Storage, Mobile Home Parks, Industrial and Retail properties. In 2022, Alex helped close over $150 million in commercial loans with local/national commercial banks, bridge lenders, credit unions and CMBS lenders.

Alex grew up in Columbus, Ohio and attended Ohio University. Alex now lives in Grandview Heights, Ohio with his wife where they enjoy traveling, cooking, playing hockey and spending time with their friends and family.

Matthew Gray joined Atlas Real Estate Capital in March of 2023 as an associate. In his role, Matthew is responsible for underwriting, marketing, and managing client relationships. Matthew specializes in analyzing and financing middle market multifamily properties and serving as an advisor to clients throughout acquisition and due diligence. Prior to joining Atlas, Matthew worked in property management for a middle market multifamily operator, gaining valuable insight and experience in commercial real estate operations.

Matthew grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania and attended Penn State University and Edinboro University where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Psychology. In his free time, Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife Caley, and their four children.
